Please join us for a special New Parent Orientation.  You’ll have an opportunity to meet our head counselors, Group Heads, and other key staff who will be taking care of your children this summer.  We know you will also enjoy meeting the parents of other first time campers, having all of your questions answered, and getting last minute departure information. Please note: this event is for parents only.

Parent Meeting Begins at 7:00 PM.
*Light refreshments will be served. 

NEW CAMPER PICNIC

Sunday, June 3rd @ Camp Jacobson at Robin Hood

The annual New Camper Picnic is designed for your child(ren) to meet other campers who are attending Equinunk and Blue Ridge for his/her first summer. The children will enjoy exciting activities, learn camp cheers, and share a buffet lunch with his/her new friends and counselors. Our new camper picnic is meant for new campers only. Siblings may attend, but may not participate in new camper events. Be sure to have your camper wear sneakers to the picnic so he/she may participate in all of the action! We are also asking for campers to be in “camp uniform” – Red or Gray for Equinunk and Blue or Grey for Blue Ridge!  The times for each picnic are as follows:

Camp Blue Ridge: 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM
Camp Equinunk: 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM

• Take Northern State Pkwy W toward New York Continue on Grand Central Pkwy W.
• Take exit 23 to merge onto Cross Island Pkwy N
• Take exit 33 to merge onto I-295 N toward New England Partial toll road. Continue on I-95 N
• Take exit 9 for Hutchinson Pkwy Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Hutchinson River Pkwy and merge onto Hutchinson River Pkwy N.

• Merge onto RT-119/N Westchester Ave

Directions to the New Camper Picnic:

From Queens

• Via LIE eastbound, to Glen Cove Road South (39). Take the service road eastbound, and at the second ramp crossing over the expressway, make a left turn onto Wheatley Road.
• Stay on Wheatley, and the road will fork at the stop sign, make a left staying on Wheatley.
• You’ll pass Old Westbury Country Club on the left. At the next stop sign, go straight.
• About 1/4 mile after the stop sign, you will make a left at the CAMP JACOBSON at ROBIN HOOD sign.
• Follow the road to the parking lot, then follow signs to the office.
• Via Northern Boulevard, eastbound to Whitney Lane (about 1 mile from Glen Cove Road, fifth traffic light). Make right onto Whitney Land and follow to end.
• Make a left at stop sign onto Wheatley Road.
• Go about 1/4 mile and make a left at our sign.
